One of the things people always comment on at Gard Wellness Center, is our amazing staff and we have to agree. We have a rockstar team.  Each one of us is committed to practicing what we preach and creating a positive and fun work environment.  Here’s a little bit about them!

Maribeth Steffen, B.A.

MaribethMaribeth Steffen, the Marketing and Events Coordinator for Gard Wellness Center, joined our team in April of 2015. She earned her BA in Communications from East Carolina University (Go Pirates!) and has spent much of her career in the Event Planning and Hospitality industries. Prior to joining our team, Maribeth owned and operated a vintage furniture and custom upholstery shop in downtown Raleigh for three years. For fun, Maribeth enjoys yoga, biking, traveling, live music, and anything DIY.

Brittney Patterson

brittneyBrittney is our Intake Coordinator and the newest addition to the team. She comes to us by way of Springfield, Missouri and most recently Raeford, North Carolina.  She moved to Raleigh in summer of 2016 and is attending Fayetteville Technical Community College, majoring in Fine Arts in Drama and Medical Office Administration.  Her ultimate goal is to become a Drama Therapist and run her own office! She loves making people laugh because “you never know what kind of day someone is having and a little laugh can go a long way”.

Jennifer VanBuuren, B.S, C.C.A

jenniferJennifer has returned to GWC as the Billing Coordinator and Certified Clinical Chiropractic Assistant. Previously, she worked with us as our Intake Coordinator for two years and she loves when she gets a chance to help Brittney up front and see all of our patients! Jennifer is originally from Greenville, NC and moved here in 2010 to attend NCSU where she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology. While Jennifer will always have love for animals, she enjoys working in the healthcare field and wants to pursue a career in medical office management or billing.  In her free time you can find her reading and spending time with her two cats, Missy and Sampson.
